This policy covers the mobile app Monthly Salary & EMI Tracker, published by Akshay CP on Google Play. The app tracks your salary, EMIs, loans and expenses, with a home screen widget.
The amounts and dates you enter stay on your device. The app does the work locally, using your phone's own processor and storage. Nothing you create or open is uploaded to me or to anyone else, and I have no way to see it.
The app can optionally read the transaction notifications posted by your own banking or UPI apps, so it can add the amount for you instead of you typing it in. This is off by default. Turning it on requires Android's own permission screen, alongside a plain-language explanation inside the app first.
Notification text is read and matched against amounts and merchants entirely on your device. Messages that look like one-time codes, promotions, or personal conversations are ignored. Nothing read this way is uploaded, stored online, or shared with anyone — it is only used to fill in a transaction you can still edit or delete yourself.
The app can post notifications and reminders on your device. These are generated locally from what you have entered. There is no push server, so nothing is sent to me in order to show them.
The free version of the app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier — the Advertising ID — along with general information about your device such as its model, operating system version, language, rough location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.
That information is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.
On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings under Google › Ads.
Making the purchase described below stops ads being shown and stops the advertising identifier being used for advertising in this app.
The app offers Pro as an auto-renewing monthly subscription. A small number of earlier installs instead have a one-time "remove ads" purchase from before the subscription existed, which keeps working. Pro removes ads and unlocks unlimited savings goals and the home-screen widgets. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Google Play Billing — I never see or store your card details, and you can cancel any time from Google Play’s subscription settings. The app only records, on your own device, whether you are currently entitled to Pro.
I do not run a server for this app. There are no accounts, no logins, and no analytics of my own. I do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or documents. The only data leaving your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads, as described above.
This app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please get in touch and I will look into it.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
