Photos to USB

Privacy Policy

Effective 31 August 2026 · com.arzdrz.photos_to_usb

Your photos and videos never leave your phone. The app does its work on your own device.

Who this covers

This policy covers the mobile app Photos to USB, published by Akshay CP on Google Play. The app copies the photos and videos on your phone onto a USB pen drive you plug in, and on later runs copies only the new ones.

Your content

Your photos and videos stay on your device. The app does the work locally, using your phone's own processor and storage. Nothing you create or open is uploaded to me or to anyone else, and I have no way to see it.

To copy your gallery, the app reads every photo and video on your phone and writes an exact copy of each one onto the USB drive you plug in, into the folder you allow on that drive. With your permission it reads the original files, including the location stored inside a photo, so the copies on your drive keep it; Android would otherwise remove it. The app does not look at, store or send that location anywhere. The only things it remembers are which drive folder you allowed and when you last copied.

Advertising

The free version of the app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier — the Advertising ID — along with general information about your device such as its model, operating system version, language, rough location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.

That information is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.

AdMob does not always supply the ad itself. It also passes the request on to partner ad networks and shows whichever one bids highest — in this app, Unity Ads and Meta Audience Network. When a partner network fills the slot it receives the same kind of information described above, including your advertising identifier, and handles it under its own privacy policy: Unity Ads and Meta Audience Network.

Tracking, and how to turn it off

On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings under Google › Ads.

Making the purchase described below stops ads being shown and stops the advertising identifier being used for advertising in this app.

Purchases

The app offers a one-time purchase that unlocks its paid features and removes ads. Payments are processed by the store you installed the app from — Google Play Billing. I never see or store your card details. The app only records, on your own device, whether the purchase was made.

What I collect

I do not run a server for this app. There are no accounts, no logins, and no analytics of my own. I do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or documents. The only data leaving your device is what Google AdMob and its partner ad networks collect to show ads, as described above.

Children

This app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please get in touch and I will look into it.
