What you do on your phone goes straight to your own computer over your own Wi-Fi, and nowhere else.
This policy covers the mobile app Air Mouse for PC — GyroAir, published by Akshay CP on Google Play. The app turns your phone into a wireless mouse and keyboard for your computer.
The movements and keystrokes you make are used on your device and sent only to your own computer, as described below. They do not pass through me, and I have no way to see them.
The app talks directly to the helper program running on your own computer, over your own Wi-Fi network. Mouse movement and keystrokes travel from your phone to your computer and nowhere else. They do not pass through any server of mine, and they are not recorded.
The app reads your phone's accelerometer and gyroscope to work out how you are moving it, which is what moves the pointer. These readings are used in the moment and are not stored or sent anywhere.
The free version of the app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier — the Advertising ID — along with general information about your device such as its model, operating system version, language, rough location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.
That information is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.
On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings under Google › Ads.
Making the purchase described below stops ads being shown and stops the advertising identifier being used for advertising in this app.
The app offers a one-time purchase that unlocks its paid features and removes ads. Payments are processed by the store you installed the app from — Google Play Billing. I never see or store your card details. The app only records, on your own device, whether the purchase was made.
I do not run a server for this app. There are no accounts, no logins, and no analytics of my own. I do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or documents. The only data leaving your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads, as described above.
This app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please get in touch and I will look into it.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
