Gecko Camera Tracker
Android app + free Blender add-on

Film it on your phone.
Drop 3D into it.

Gecko Camera Tracker records your video together with the phone's real 3D camera path, using Google's ARCore. Import the shot in Blender and the camera, the floor and even the light are already matched. No solving, no tracking markers to fix.

Add-on for Blender 4.2 and newer, tested on Blender 5.1. Free.

Camera

Matched every frame

One pose for every video frame, with the real lens, so 3D stays glued to the footage.

Floor

Real scale, real ground

Metres, gravity aligned, with the floor at zero and the spot you tapped as the centre.

Shadows

Shadows in Cycles and EEVEE

One click shadow catcher on the floor, or turn any object you pick into one. Works in both engines.

Light

The room becomes the light

The phone paints a rough HDR of the room as you film. One click lights your scene with it.

Good to know

Which phones

Any Android phone that supports Google Play Services for AR. Most phones from the last few years do.

Smooth shake

A slider in the add-on smooths small jitters, and a frame offset slides the track if you ever need it.

Your files stay yours

Nothing is uploaded. A shot leaves the phone only when you send or save it.
